Over the first weekend of this new Rotary year members of the Club gave of their time and raised £2620.20 at Morrison's Supermarket for Cancer Research.

The James Taylor Salvor was replated by Immediate Past President Frank McLuskey the competition winner for 2009 was George Gunn.

Past President Andrew Ferguson once again arranged for two games of golf at Archerfield Links that brought in £400 for Rotary Foundation. This kick started our Rotary Foundation Appeal for this year by bringing in this money. This years pigeon races supported by Club members has brought in another £600 that will be allocated to Rotary Foundation and organised by Ian Macpherson. In addition to this money members sent their christmas cards to each other via the Club magazine this brought in another £245 organised by Edwin Robertson

Our organisation of the 2009 Relay for Life brought in £150,000 for Cancer Research UK Scotland.

THe 2009 Rhu Trophy was played for in October when everyone was a winner!!! - mainly because at the end of the day we only had four competitors!  David Brown won with 38 points

Frog night brought £1500 for The British Heart Foundation

Our annual dance was a huge success with over a hundred guests attending (Click Here) for further information our raffle for the evening allowed us to provide a Shelter box at £495 plus sending over £200 to the Cumbria Flood Relief Fund.

Representitives from the British Heart Foundation namely Joan Watson & Becky Macpherson came to the club to be presented with a cheque for £1450 that had been raised by the club at a recent frog night.

Christmas decorations at Hairmyers Hospital the following members gave of their time to once again complete the task of decorating ward 16

Weekend of the 16th January Club members along with members of other Rotary Clubs manned to East Kilbride Town Centre. Over the weekend £7500 was raised for The Haiti Earthquake disaster

A succesful Rotary Foundation night at Peters grill and seafood restaurant  raised £200 for Polio Plus on the 20th Feb 2010 plus at the Past Presidents dinner on the 19th of April another £110 was gathered for Polio Plus

Weekend of the 20th Feb 2010 seen 16 members give some time to collect at Morrisons for Cancer Research the sum of £2104 was collected from a very generous public. Our members who stood in the cold were George & Stella Ferguson, Andrew Ferguson, Brian Wood, Eddie Robertson, Douglas Douglas, Ray Porrelli, Roddy Shanks Henry Doig, Leslie Irvine, John Murphy, Ben Miloudi, David Brown,John McKie, John Cardno, Frank McLuskey and Jim Moretti The count of the money was done by Eddie & Rina
Burns competition grown to 10 schools and 52 entries and quality improving each year.
3 schools entered for schools Powerpoint on the topical subject of renewable energy

Young Chef of the Year competition District and Inter District Finals were held in East Kilbride at South Lanarkshire College with Sanderson High taking part in the Young Chef.
The Club did their enviromental bit by working with the Rangers at Calderglen park and organising some of the Calderglen school to take part plus we were involved in a number of clean ups at Calderglen.

The planting of 2 trees and 1000 bulbs by Blacklaw Primary school at Torrance House.
We sent a total of 3 shelter boxes in aid for Haiti

Curling Success in that the Club once again won the Garside trophy for Curling on defeating Eastwood by 8 shots to six in a keenly fought contest. Our finals team were George McGraw,Jim Anderson, Jim Moretti & Jack Blackwood

Our Easter walk was again supported by seven Rotarians and partners and organised by Tom Wilson and Roddy Shanks

A successful twinning link trip to Ballerup 13-16 May with a party of 18 from East Kilbride
